Born in Germany, Elisabeth Roloff is recognized internationally as an outstanding concert organist. She appears in Israel regularly as recitalist, as well as with chamber music ensembles and leading musicians. Currently she is the titular organist at the Church of the Redeemer in Jerusalem and head of the organ department of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.
Elisabeth Roloff is performing in many of the world's great cathedrals, churches and concert halls, in Eastern and Western Europe, the US, Mexico, South America and the Russian countries. Her repertoire encompasses important works from the international repertoire: the Renaissance and the Baroque, through the Classical and Romantic periods - to the music of our time.
In 1985 she performed the complete organ works of J.S. Bach in the "Bach Organ Festival" Jerusalem, commemorating the tercentennial anniversary of the composer's birth.
Elisabeth Roloff's new CD "Die Orgeln und Glocken der Abteikirche Maria Laach" was recently released. (Motette 2006). "Christmas Organ Music" was released this summer. Her recent recital in the University of Denver was recieved with ovations: "Elizabeth Roloff demonstrated why she is one of the finest organists today….She sits calmly at the organ and plays with remarkable intensity. Her phrasing is perfect as are her dynamics and articulation. Ms. Roloff has the ability to expose the architecture of the music in an unambiguous way so that one is left thinking, "Of course. That is the way it should always be." Robin McNeil
